A Stage for Purpose-Driven Innovation
Grand Event Highlights: The Beginning of Something Big
Held on June 26 and 27th, 2024, at Anna University, Chennai, the two-day finale brought together the Top 100 teams of 400+ students.
- ₹50,000: Waste Warriors (waste-to-energy, Odisha) & Team Synergy (precision agriculture, Tamil Nadu)
- ₹30,000: Nutrimasters (nutritional snacks, Maharashtra)
- ₹20,000: Solar Desalination Project (Andhra Pradesh)
- ₹10,000: TONIC (nutritious snacks & sustainable tourism, Uttarakhand)
In collaboration with United Nations UNLEASH, E-Yuva, and Anna University, and with Veera Group as the title sponsor, the event featured 31 esteemed judges, an inspiring keynote by Dr. Vivek Manoharan (UN UNLEASH Ambassador), and a panel discussion with four renowned women entrepreneurs.

Training Sessions: Empowering Innovators
The Top 100 teams underwent specialized training covering technical domains (AI, IoT, agriculture, medtech etc.) and technical skills (idea validation, pitch deck creation, financial & business modeling). Over 18 experts led one-on-one mentorship and three “Pitch Perfect” sessions to prepare participants for the finale.

Grand Finale: From Innovation to Investment
The Top 10 teams pitched their MVPs to 7 investors from globally acclaimed investment capitals, including leaders from Google, Lingov Capital, Venture Wolf, and WEH Ventures. Beyond funding, The Purpose Awards celebrated innovation in 10+ categories like Best Pitch, SDG Impact, and Teamwork etc, with Team EcoFungi winning Best Pitch.
